The Division for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Department of Social and Economic Affairs (UNDESA) is organizing a Small Island Developing States (SIDS) meeting in consultation with the Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS) and hosted by the UN Office for Sustainable Development in the Republic of Korea, a project office of the Division for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) in Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, from 29 to 31 March 2017.

The meeting is expected to be practical and action-oriented, focusing on strengthening analytical and negotiating skills in order to successfully include SIDS priorities in the Call for Action as a key deliverable of the Conference. It is targeted to delegates from SIDS engaged in these areas.
